The Employees' State Insurance Act which is a social security legislation provides for medical care and cash benefits in the contingencies of sickness, maternity, disablement and death due to employment injury to workers.

The scheme was introduced in the Union Territory of Delhi as well as Kanpur city on 24th February, 1952 and was inaugurated by Late Sh. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru the then Prime Minister of India.

Qualification : - For Stenographer : 12th/ HSC Standard or its equivalent from a recognized board/university .
For Upper Division Clerk : Graduation in any discipline or its equivalent from a recognised University/Institute.
For Multi Tasking Staff : 10th/Matriculation or its equivalent passed from a recognised Board/School.

Age Limit : - For Stenographer/Upper Division Clerk : 18 to 27 Year
For Multi Tasking Staff : 18 to 25 Year. As on 31.10.2015.
Age relaxation is as per Govt. norms.
