Eastern Railway was formed on 14th April, 1952 by integration of the East Indian Railway consisting of Sealdah, Howrah, Asansol and Danapur Divisions and the entire Bengal Nagpur Railway. Later on, the portion of BNR stretching from Howrah to Visakhapatnam in the South.

Sports Person Category (2) : 16 Posts

Sports Person Category (3) : 39 Posts
Qualification : - For Sports Person Category (1): Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent.
For Sports Person Category (2) : Passed 12th/Intermediate and Passed out Act Apprenticeship/ITI in relevant. Act Apprenticeship/ITI certificate must be approved by SCVT/NCVT or its equivalent.
For Sports Person Category (3) : Minimum 10th/Matriculation passed or ITI or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT or it equivalent.

Age Limit : - 18 to 25 Years. As on 01.01.2016.
Age relaxation is as per Govt. norms.

Application Fee : - Candidates belonging General/OBC have to pay Rs. 100/- through Demand Draft of Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of FA&CAO,Eastern Railway, Kolkata payable at Kolkata. Candidates belonging S/ST/Women/Minorities/Economically Backward Class Candidates Exempted from application fee.
Selection Process : - The selection will be conducted through trial and interview.
