After partition of the country, Jute Agricultural Research Laboratory shifted to Chinsura in West Bengal and then at the present location of Nilganj, Barrackpore in year of 1953 as Jute Agricultural Research Institute (JARI).

Qualification : - For Lower Division Clerk : Passed 12th/ Intermediate or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/ University. And typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on computer.

For Technician : Passed 10th/ Matriculation with at least one year certificate in Agriculture from recognized institution.

For Technical Assistant : Graduation/ Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized university/ board or its equivalent.

Age Limit : - For Lower Division Clerk : 18 to 27 Years.
For Technician & Technical Assistant : 18 to 30 Years. As on 23.10.2016.
