The Bangalore Central Excise Zone with jurisdiction over the State of Karnataka and Kerala came into existence on 01.09.1997. After re-structuring of the Commissionerates, the present Bangalore Central Excise Zone came into existence w.e..f., 01.11.2002 with jurisdiction over 9 revenue districts of Karnataka. Subsequently, w.e.f 15.10.2014 on account of furtehr re-organisation, the Bangalore Central Excise zone is divided 5 Central Excise, 2 Service Tax , 2 Audit & LTU Commissionerates

Qualification : - For Tax Assistant : Graduation in any discipline from any recognized university and posses a data entry speed of 8000 key depression per hour.

For Stenographer Gr II : Passed 12th or its equivalent from a recognized board/ institute with typing speed.

For Havaldar : Passed 10th/ Matriculation or its equivalent from any recognized board/ school.

Age Limit : - 18 to 27 Years. As on 01.03.2016.
Age relaxation is as per Govt. norms.
