In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of Section 23 of the RTE Act, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) vide Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 and 29th JULY, 2011 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII.  It had been inter alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in Clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE.

Qualification : - For Primary Teachers (Class – I-V) Posts : Passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination from a reputed Board/ University in the marks of 50% in aggregate as well as passed or attend in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

For Upper Primary Teachers (Class – VI-VIII) Posts : Passed Graduation or equivalent examination from a reputed Board/ University with Diploma in Elementary Education in the marks of 50% in aggregate and a one-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).

Application Fee : - Candidates belonging to General/ OBC Category Candidates are to pay Rs. 600/- for Paper – I examination (whoever 1000/- for both Paper – I & II) AND 
For SC/ ST/ Differently Abled person category are to pay Rs. 300/-  for Paper – I examination (whoever 500/- for both Paper – I & II).
Application Fee can be paid through E-Challan at any branch of Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank or by using Debit/ Credit Card.
Selection Process : - Selection process will be based on Written Examination.
