It touches the lives of Indian citizens in many ways: delivering mails, accepting deposits under Small Savings Schemes, providing life insurance cover under Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) and providing retail services like bill collection, sale of forms, etc.

Examination fee for all male candidates in General, OBC categories is Rs 400/-.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, Women are exempted for payment of Application fee.

Fill the Application Form along with two attested/self attested Passport size photographs (one firmly affixed on the application form and one to be attached -for Hall Permit Original Receipt granted by the Post office, for payment of Application Fee/Examination Fee-affixed/ pasted at the top of the application form, On self-addressed envelope of size 10cm x 23 cm affixed with postage stamps for Rs.22/- send by Registered Post or Speed Post to relevant Divisions/Units as per Notification before 12.12.2016.
