North Western Railway came being on 1st October, 2002. It was carved out of 2 divisions each from Northern and Western Railways. The formation of this zone along with five other new zones was first approved by Railway Board on 16th September, 1996 and foundation stone for this zone was laid on 17th October 1996 by the then Prime Minister Shri H.D. Deve Gowda at K.P. Singh Stadium, Jaipur.

Qualification : - Passed 10th Class Examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also possess National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.

Age Limit : - 15 to 24 Years. As on 30.12.2016.
Age relaxation is as per Govt. norms.

Application Fee : - Candidates belonging to General/ OBC are to pay Rs. 100/- through debit card/credit card/Internet Banking etc. by providing information as asked on the screen.
No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/Women/ PWD candidates.
Selection Process : - Selection process will be based on merit list prepared basis of percentage of marks in matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate marks) + ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done.
