The Company which had its origin as the Hindustan Aircraft Company was incorporated on 23 Dec 1940 at Bangalore by Shri Walchand Hirachand a farsighted visionary in association with the Government of Mysore with an Authorized Capital of Rs.4 crores (Paid up capital Rs.40 lakhs) and with the aim of manufacturing aircraft in India. In March 1941, the Government of India became one of the shareholders in the Company holding 1/3 of its paid-up capital and subsequently took over its management in 1942.

Qualification : - For Security Guard : Ex-servicemen possessing PUC/Intermediate or Ex-servicemen (Combatant) with 3 years of experience+SSLC (Knowledge and hands on experience in operating computer preferred + possessing Driving license to drive two wheeler/ four wheeler desirable)
Aircraft Technician(Ex- servicemen) : For the trades such as Engine, Airframe, Armament, Radio, Radar, Instrumentation And Electrical, ExServicemen with the qualification equivalent To Diploma In Engg / Tech) is required . For SEW Trade, Ex Servicemen with the qualification equivalent to ITI+ NAC / NCTVT is required AND
Working experience on aircraft such As Jaguar / Mirage / Mig Series / Su-30 in IAF is essential.
For Technician (Fitter/Painter/Grinder) : ITI + NAC/NCTVT
Age relaxation is as per Govt.norms.
