Babina Cantonment on the Political may of the country falls in the Bundelkhand Region and is a village which has taken shape of a small township due to army presence.Babina is an acronym from "BRITISH ARMY BASE IN NORTH ASIA".The Cantonment Board Babina was established on 22 August 1959.It is located 26 KMs South of Jhansi with in Jhansi Disctrict on National Highway No-26.Babina is Class-II Cantonment with a civil Population of 18078 as per 2001 Cencus. Brig K.C. Khanna was the first President and Shri S. Mazumdar CEO of the Cantonment. Babina Cantonment has total Area of 3214.165 Acres.
