Haryana Staff Selection Commission (earlier Subordinate Services Selection Board) is constituted as per the proviso of Article 309 of constitution of India, vide Haryana Government Notification No.523-3GS-70/2068, dated 28.01.1970. Through it was granted statutory status of Haryana Staff Selection Commission vide Haryana Govt. Gazette Notification dated 28.02.2005.

Qualification : - For Fireman : Passed Matriculate and basic course in Elementary Fire Fighting from the Haryana State Fire Fighting institute.

For Junior Engineer/JE : Diploma in Civil Engineering from an institution recognized by the state Government.

Age Limit : - 17 to 42 Years. As on 21.08.2017.
Age relaxation is as per HR Govt. norms.

Application Fee : - For General Category Candidates (Male/Female) : Rs. 150/100 (According to Category of Posts)
For Female Candidates of Haryana : Rs. 75/ 50
For SC/ BC/ EBPG Candidates of Haryana : Rs. 35/ 25 For Male and
Rs. 18/ 13 For Female.
There is no Application Fee for Physically Handicapped/Ex-Serviceman of Haryana.
Application Fee can be paid through Net banking or e-Challan in any branch of State Bank of India, State Bank of Patiala, Punjab National Bank and IDBI Bank.
Selection Process : - Selection process will be based on OMR Sheet based or online computer based test (CBT), Skill Test, Scrutiny of Documents & Interview.
