ITBP is a multi-dimensional force. Presently Battalions of ITBP deployed on Border Guarding Duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 KM of India China Border are manning Border Out Posts at an altitude ranging from 9000’ to 18500’ in the Western, Middle & Eastern Sector of India China Border.

Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) : 60 Posts (UR -23, SC – 12, ST – 03 & OBC – 22)
Constable (Motor Mechanic) : 181 Posts (UR -85, SC – 31, ST – 17 & OBC – 48)

Qualification : Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) : 10+2 pass from a recognised Board/ Institution. AND Certificate in Motor Mechanic from a recognized institution or Industrial Training Institute/ITI with three years practical experience in the trade in a reputed workshop or three years diploma in Automobile Engineering.

Constable (Motor Mechanic) : Matriculation or 10th class pass from a recognized Board or Institution; AND Industrial Training Institute certificate in respective trade from a recognized institution; or Three years experience in respective trade from a recognised firm.

Age Limit : 18 to 25 Years. As on 31.01.2018.
The upper age limit is relaxable for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories of persons in accordance with the Governments orders on the subject.
Job Profile : Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) & Constable (Motor Mechanic) in Group ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted & Non-Ministerial) Posts
Job Location : All over in India

Application Fee : Candidates belonging to General(UR)/ OBC category are to pay Rs.100/- through online payment gateway system.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-servicemen are exempted from paying fee.
Selection Process : Selection process will be based on physical efficiency test (PET), physical standard test (PST), written test, practical (skill) test and medical examination.
