In 1886 some Tibetian Militia occupied Lingto below the Jelepla pass on the Eastern border of Sikkim. In 1988 the Tibetians attacked Gnathang below the Jelepla pass but were pushed back by the British troops. Disturbances of such kind were posing a serious threat to the security of the state and the British felt that a Police outpost must be established somewhere at a strategic point on the Kalimpong-Rhenock-Jelepla-Lhasa Trade route.

Qualification : For GD Constable : Minimum class X passed from recognized
Board
For Constables/Technical : Minimum class XII passed in PCM.

Age Limit : 18 to 22 Years. As on 01.02.2018.
Age relaxation is as per Sikkim Govt. norms.

Application Fee : Application Form can be purchased on production of Bank (SBS) Receipt for Rs. 70/= under revenue head 0055-Police-800 other receipts from 29.01.2018 and can be obtained from the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police/Special Branch,
Tadong, Gangtok and the office of District SsP (North/South/West) on working days.
Selection Process : Selection process will be based on Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency/Endurance Test (PET), Written Examination & Viva-voce.

How To Apply : All interested candidates can apply in prescribed format along with Sikkim Subject/ COI, Valid local employment card, caste certificate, Educational qualification certificate/ mark sheet, Birth certificate, NOC, 2 passport size photographs and send to the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police/Special Branch, Tadong, Gangtok and the office of District SSP (North/ South/ West) on or before 28.02.2018.
