Till early 1980s Indian Railways was importing about 55% of requirement of wheels and axles. Indigenous capacity was available only at Tata Iron & Steel Company [TISCO] and Durgapur Steel Plant [DSP].

No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/Physical handicapped/Women Candidates.

Selection Process : Selection process will be based on merit list prepared basis of percentage of marks in matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate marks).
