On October 3, 1972 the Governor of Manipur issued the order of constitution of the Manipur Public Service Commission under Article 318 with one Chairman and two Members. Shri B.K. Nehru, Governor of Manipur inaugurated the office of the Manipur Public Service Commission at a glittering function on October 23, 1972 at the Gandhi Memorial Hall, Imphal. Chief Minister, Shri Alimuddin presided over the function.

Section Officer Grade-I/ Deputy Manager (Civil) : 187 Posts
Qualification : - For Assistant Engineer/Manager : Graduation/ BE/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering or its equivalent or Diploma in Civil Engineering having a minimum of 3(three) years course with S(five) years experience as Deputy Manager(Civil) or in a post declared by the State Govt. as equivalent thereto on regular basis
For Section Officer : Graduation/ BE/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering or its equivalent or Diploma in Civil Engineering having a minimum of 3(three) years course or its equivalent.

Age Limit : - 21 to 38 Years. As on 01.07.2015.
Age relaxation is as per Manipur Govt. norms.
