Karauli Judgeship was constituted on 29th of August 1997 after dissociating 5 tehsil from

Sawai Madhopur district. That time, District & Session Court, Karauli was organized to abolish the already situated special court (Dacoity affected areas) and Additional District & Session Judge, Karauli. District & Session Court was then transferred separately in new building in year 2006.
