U.P. Act No.5 of 1982 as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature an Act to establish Secondary Education (Service Selection Boards) Act, 1982 for the selection of teachers in institutions recognised under the Intermediate Education Act, 1921.

Qualification : - For Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Posts :  Post Graduation in relevant subject or its equivalent qualification from an Institute/ University recognized by the Govt.

For Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) Posts : Graduation in relevant subject any recognized University/ Institute AND B.Ed OR L.T. OR B.T. Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University/ Board.
