Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare who is responsible for planning, implementation, facilitation, coordination, supervision and monitoring of performance(physical and fiscal) of all activities (national and state) relating to primary and secondary health care including preventive, promotive and curative services, encompassing all family welfare activities, ensuring close coordination with all line departments like Women Development and Child Welfare, Education, Rural Water Supply & Sanitation, Panchayat Raj, Municipal Administration and Urban Development and partner agencies like WHO, UNICEF, NGOs and private organizations for individuals. Provides for active interface of health with community. Under the administrative supervision.

Qualification : - For Staff Nurse : Passed in DGNM/ BSc. (N)/ MSc.(N).

For Refractionist : Passed Intermediate examination with MPC/ BiPC and With Diploma in Optometry/ Refractionist.

For Physiotherapist :  Passed Intermediate examination with Bi.PC and Bachelor degree in physiotherapy (BPT) from a recognized university.
