The Income Tax Department, also referred to as IT Department, is a government agency in charge of monitoring the income tax collection by the Government of India. It functions under the Department of Revenue of the Ministry of Finance. It is responsible for administering following direct taxation acts passed by Parliament of India.

Qualification : - For Inspectors of Income tax – Tax Assistant Posts : Minimum Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.

For Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) : Minimum pass in Matriculation or its equivalent.

Age Limit : - 18 to 25 Years. (i.e. born not earlier than02.08.1991 and not later than 01.08.1998). As on 01.08.2016.
Age relaxation is as per Govt. norms.
