South Western Railway was created by amalgamating the reorganized Hubli division from South Central Railway with Bangalore & Mysore divisions of Southern Railway. This Railway has become operational from 1st of April, 2003 with its head quarter at Hubli in the state of Karnataka.

Qualification : - For Group C : Passed 10+2 (+2  stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. must be from recognized institute or Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by NCVT/ SCVT.

For Erstwhile Group D : Possess 10th/ITI or its equivalent. Candidates appearing or awaiting results of the final examinations of 10th or ITI or equivalent on the date of application are not eligible to apply. Educational Qualification must be from Recognized Institutions.

Age Limit : - For Group 'C' : 18 to 29 Years 
For Erstwhile Group 'D' : 18 to 32 Years. As on 01.01.2017.
Age relaxation is as per Govt. norms.

Job Location : - Hubballi (Karnataka)

Application Fee : - Candidates are to pay Rs.500/- through Postal order in favour of Assistant Personnel Officer/HQ, South Western Railway, Hubli, payable at Hubli. 
No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST /PH/Women candidates.
Selection Process : - Selection process will be based on Written Test, Scouting Skill Assessment & Marks on certificates, Medical Examination.
