The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has been established by an Act of the Parliament (No. 3 of 2009) at Kalaburagi, Karnataka. It is one of the 16 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan Period to address to the concerns of ‘equity and access’ and to increase the access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrolment Ratio of less than the national average of 11%.

Qualification : - Professor : An eminent scholar with P.G in the relevant subject and Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/ relevant discipline

Associate Professor : Good academic record with Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/ allied/relevant disciplines/ A Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks

Assistant Professor : Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks.
Note :- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC.
