The Kendriya Vidyalayas are a system of central government schools in India that have been instituted under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). It comprises over a thousand schools in India and three abroad. The system came into being in 1963 under the name 'Central Schools'. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya. All the schools are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Its objective is to educate children of the Indian Defence Services personnel who are often posted to remote locations. With the army starting its own Army Public Schools, the service was extended (but not restricted) to all central government employees.

Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) : 182 Posts
Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) : 144 Posts
Primary Teacher (PRT) : 220 Posts

Qualification : - For TGT : Four years’ Integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate; AND Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.

For PGT : Two years’ Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject. AND B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University.

For PRT : Passed Senior Secondary School Certificate/+2/inter with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent with JBT AND Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose with Competence to teach through Hindi & English media.

Age Limit : - For PGTs : Maximum 40 Years.
For TGTs : Maximum 35 Years &
For Primary Teacher (PRT) : Maximum 30 Years. As on 31.10.2017.
Age relaxation is as per Govt. norms.

Application Fee : - Candidates are to pay Rs.750/- through the prescribed link during Applying Online Application Form or Challan Form.
No fee is required to be paid by candidates belonging to SC / ST / PH categories and Women candidates.
