Junior public service commission, the precursor of the Punjab Public Service Commission(PPSC), with its writ running from the Khyber pas to the Jamuna near Delhi, was born at Lahore on May, 1937. In the wake of the partition, the Punjab public service commission resurged in February, 1948, at Shimla with its revised jurisdiction extending over the then Provence of east Punjab following the merger of the state of Punjab and Pepsu.

For Ex-Servicemen of Punjab state are to pay Rs. 500/-,
For PWD Punjab State are to pay Rs. 1750/- &
For all other Categories Candidates are to pay Rs. 3000/- through the System Generated Challan Form.
