Formally established in the year 1952, it remains the largest zone in terms of route Kilometers, even after the re-organization of the Indian Railways into 16 zones. Northern Railway now comprises of 5 Divisions-Ambala, Delhi, Ferozpur, Lucknow and Moradabad.

Qualification : For Level 2/ Group 'C' : Passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate from a recognized Board.

Level 1/ Group 'D' : Passed 10th +National Apprenticeship Certificate(NAC) or ITI granted by NCVT.

Age Limit : For Level 2/ Group 'C' : 18 to 28 Years.
Level 1/ Group 'D' : 18 to 31 Years. As on 01.01.2018.
Job Profile : Scout and Guide Quota (Group 'C' & 'D') Posts
Job Location : All over in India

Application Fee : For General Category Candidates are to pay Rs. 500/-(Non refundable)
For Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Ex. Service Men, Person with Disability (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes are to pay Rs. 250/-(Refundable) through Online Payment in favour of RRC/NR.
Selection Process : Selection process will be based on Written Test, Scouting skill Assessment, Marsks on Certificates and Medical Examination.
