The Employees' State Insurance Scheme provides social security to workers in organized industry and some other sectors of employment. It was introduced in West Bengal, with the issuance of Notification U/s. 1(3) of the E.S.I. Act, 1948, w.e.f. 14th August, 1955. The Scheme is the largest Social Security Scheme of the Government of India for the workmen employed in Factories / Establishments throughout the country.

Upper Division Clerk : 211 Posts
Multi Tasking Staff : 237 Posts
Qualification : - For Stenographer : Passed 12th/ Higher Secondary or its equivalent from a recognized board/school. A speed of 80 words per minute in stenography in English/Hindi. Working knowledge of Computer including use of Office Suites and databases.

For Upper Division Clerk : Graduation from a recognized University/Board or its equivalent. Working knowledge of Computer including use of Office Suites and databases.

For Multi Tasking Staff : Passed 10th/ Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognised board/school.

Age Limit : - For Stenographer & Upper Division Clerk : 18 to 27 Years
For Multi Tasking Staff : 18 to 25 Years. As on 06.01.2016.
Age relaxation is as per ESIC, Hyderabad norms.
