Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu, along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. It is part of the greater role that the Central Government assumed in making higher education accessible to aspirants from the weaker sections of the society.  With eight students in M.A. English Studies, the university started functioning from November 2009, at the Collectorate Annexe at Thiruvarur, 60 kilometers to the east of Thanjavur.

Qualification : - For Senior Technical Assistant : B.E/B.Tech Computer Science/Electronics & Communication Engineering/Information Technology or M.Sc computer Science or MCA or M.Sc in the relevant science subjects with 55% or equivalent marks with two years of experience. OR B.Sc with relevant Science subject combination with 55% or equivalent marks.

For Laboratory Assistant : A Bachelor’s Degree in Science subjects from recognized University.

Age Limit : - For Senior Technical Assistant : 35 years
For Laboratory Assistant : 30 years. As on 30.09.2016.
Age relaxation is as per Govt. norms.

Job Location : - Thiruvarur (Tamilnadu)

Application Fee : - Candidates belonging to General/OBC Category are to pay Rs. 600/- &
Intimation Charge Rs. 100/- for SC/ST Candidates
