The Government of India's Ministry of Education resolved on 27 July 1961 to establish the National Council of Educational Research and Training, which formally began its operation on 1 September 1961. The Council formed by merging seven existing institutions of the National Government including the Central Institute of Education (1947), the Central Bureau of Textbook Research (1954), the Central Bureau of Educational and Vocational Guidance (1954), the Directorate of Extension Programmes for Secondary Education (1958), the National Institute of Basic Education (1956), the National Fundamental Education Centre (1956), and the National Institute of Audio-Visual Education (1959).

Work Experience Teacher : 29 Posts
Primary Teacher : 13 Posts
Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) : 11 Posts

Qualification : - For Work Experience Teacher : B.Sc. Computer Science or B.C.A or Diploma in Computer Science or its equivalent OR Graduation and Diploma in Stenography (English) from a recognized board/Institute/ITI/Polytechnic College OR MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science.

For Primary Teacher : Passed Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent and Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.

For Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) : Passed Second Class Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks in the concerned subject in the aggregate including Elective and Languages in the combination of subjects with i) B.Ed. or equivalent qualification from a recognized University and Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.

Age Limit : - For Work Experience Teacher & TGT : Maximum 35 Years.
For Primary Teacher : Maximum 30 Years.

Application Fee : - Candidates are to pay Rs. 500/- through  demand draft/Bankers Cheque only in favour of Secretary, NCERT payable at State Bank of India, NCERT Branch, New Delhi-110016. 
No application fees for SC/ST/PWD/Women/NCERT employees.
Selection Process : - Selection process will be based on Written Examination and Interview.
